WHO ARE WE

THE NAME PROCON DERIVES FROM 'PROFESSIONAL' AND 'CONSTRUCTION'.

Procon Projects; established in 1990, has an extensive background in building custom homes, renovations, and project management of single and multi-family residential homes.

Procon has completed more than 35 projects on the North Shore and in the City of Vancouver in recent years.

We have worked with numerous well established architectural firms and local building designers. Our network of trades, suppliers, and consultants has been refined and perfected since our inception in 1990.

We take pride in providing a service that meets the high standards of our clients and consultants.

HOW WE WORK

How We Work
- The idea forms. You are ready to think about the construction of a new home or a major renovation. Where do you begin?
- Some clients have significant experience in coordinating design work and construction, others are daunted by the task.
- As professional builders, the process is straightforward: define the scope of work; make a detailed budget and schedule; execute the work.
- The detail involved with each of these steps is crucial to the success of the project.
Scope of Work
- It is critical that the client have someone to guide them through the “expectations” phase, and the earlier in the project the better. We like to be involved directly in this phase to ensure the project gets off on the right foot. We can work directly with the client, or alongside a designer depending on the needs of the client.
- Scope of work includes defining the actual work that will be done as well as the expectations with respect to the quality of each product to be incorporated in the work.
- With client and the builder on the same page in this manner, the risk of veering off course with budget and schedule are significantly reduced.
Budget & Schedule
- Budget is usually foremost in most peoples’ minds. Whether they desire a low, medium, or high budget (based on “expectations”), the knowledge of how much will be spent is critical. This too is part of setting expectations for the client.
- The better the scope of work can be defined, the more accurate the budget can be.
- We pride ourselves in providing an accurate budget, again, all based on the expectations above.
- Schedule is another “expectation”. Clients want to know how long their project will take to complete.
- Using scheduling software to detail the work flow allows us to set the expectation for project completion.
The Implementation
- Execution of the actual work in some regards is the most enjoyable and most straightforward part of the process – once the scope has been defined, the budget is in place, and the timeline defined, the stress level can lower significantly as a lot of the major decisions are out of the way.
- We advance to the construction phase and meet each of the previously set expectations.
